Good ruby-red. Slightly herbal aromas of blackberry, brown spices, licorice, pepper, chocolate, leather and spicy oak. Pliant and ripe, with enticing flavors of blackberry, cherry, licorice and dried herbs.Finishes lush, round and long, with sweet tannins. This merlot/cab blend initially came across as a bit green, but ultimately showed lovely ripeness and suavity.

Ruby-red. Slightly medicinal nose gives a somewhat disjointed sweet/green impression, with notes of licorice and bitter chocolate. Juicy and slightly green-edged in the mouth yet reasonably sweet and fleshy, with notes of chocolate and herbs. A dry, firm, soil-inflected wine with a rather odd mixture of aromas and flavors.
