Tasting notes
The 2003 Vosne-Romanee Vieilles Vignes offers a nose of waxy black fruits and dark cherries. Medium to full-bodied, broad, and rich, this black cherry-dominated wine is impressively endowed yet slightly tight and raw in the finish. Drink it over the next 5-6 years. Dee p ruby-red. Slightly reduced aromas of black raspberry, blackberry and leather. Creamier and sweeter than the Evocelles, with more harmonious acidity and a distinctive spiciness. Finishes with substantial but fine-grained tannins.
