Score 91/100 · Drink 2002-2008, Robert Parker, Jun 2002
The exceptional, dark ruby-colored 1999 Pinot Noir Rochioli Vineyard exhibits aromas of sweet cherries, raspberries, flowers, and a judicious touch of toasty oak. It cuts a broad (but not heavy) swath across the palate, revealing good acidity as well as enough tannin for definition. Consume it over the next 5-6 years. Tel. (707) 473-2900

Good medium ruby. Reticent but lively aromas of blueberry, blackberry, espresso, bitter chocolate and mint. Tightly wrapped on the palate, with attractive sweet/tart flavors of cranberry, cherry and currant. Bright and much less evolved than the basic '99 pinot.
