Tasting notes
2024 Felseneck GG is deep and smoky, very clear, cool and precise on the slightly reductive but concentrated nose, reminiscent of juicy ripe white peaches. It's full-bodied on the palate, without much texture or even creaminess, instead offering pure, dense, ripe and precisely selected fruit. The Bockenau Felseneck Riesling is dense and juicy on the palate yet spicy, fresh and salty, showing plenty of substance and polish in the finish. This is one of the outstanding 2024 Rieslings of the vintage, not only in the Nahe region. Tasted at the Vorpremiere VDP.Grosses Gewächs in Wiesbaden, August 2025.

Similarly smoky and stony but with less spice than the Halenberg. A sleek and sinewy layer of juice sits atop a firm stony backbone. At this point the elegant palate is made up of appealingly sweet-tart fruit that gains speed and complexity the longer it stays in the glass. Gorgeously vibrant. (PS)
Enormously deep and expressive, this is one of the dry wines of the vintage in the Nahe region. The whole range of stone fruit aromas plus wet-stone minerality. Concentration, raciness and vibrancy are precisely balanced on the driving, medium-bodied palate. Incredibly long and precise finish that has plenty of energy. Great aging potential. Drink or hold.
The 2024 Riesling Bockenauer Felseneck Grosses Gewächs was grown on blue Devonian slate. It is lifted and fragrant, hitting the nose with lemony smokiness. The palate is so linear, poised, buffered and svelte. This has muscle, tension and clarity, stretching into the coolest, stoniest infinity. The more air it gets, the more the lemon awakens. (Bone-dry)
