Tasting notes
The most Meursault of Alvina’s trio of Meursault, Les Porusots sits next to Genevrières and typically produces an exuberant wine. The 2024 is a little shy on the nose at this stage, teasing its richness alongside ore mineral tones. On the palate, however, the wine offers opulent fruit, a weight of ripe peach, with a flinty edge holding it in check. It’s round and generous, the acidity a little softer than its siblings. Welcoming and set to be approachable young. Aged in 20% new oak.

The 2024 Meursault Poruzots ler Cru has a clean, precise and focused bouquet that exudes that "cool glade" aroma. The palate is fresh and vibrant, quite steely in style, almost Puligny
The 2024 Meursault Poruzots 1er Cru has a clean, precise and focused bouquet that exudes that "cool glade" aroma. The palate is fresh and vibrant, quite steely in style, almost Puligny-like with its malic finish. I admire its linearity and precision and it should age well in bottle.
Mid lemon yellow. Much more chiselled in style yet with proper fruit weight. Crystalline character with the more rugged structure of Poruzots, very much in the style of Alvina Pernot, so a good purchase of juice.
About the producer

Alvina Pernot is one of the most exciting producers of white Burgundy today. Based in Puligny-Montrachet with some incredible vineyards, this is a name to watch – creating taut and mineral styles of white Burgundy.
