Score 88/100 · Drink 2005-2015, Daniel Thomases, Wine Advocate, Aug 2005
The 2000 Barolo, with a warm nose of roses, cinnamon, and licorice, is already nicely round and supple, surprisingly ready, but by no means lacking in vigor and backbone. Drink: 2005-2015. Good medium red. Aromas of currant, mint, leather and pepper. Fat and moderately fresh, with spicy, herbal and minty nuances. Reasonably juicy and aromatic for the vintage, with restrained sweetness. Finishes with substantial sweet tannins. Aged mostly in old ovals.
