From 30-year-old vines on this very unique site, the 2022 Pinot Noir Temperance Hill Vineyard jumps from the glass with notes of peppery spice, preserved black cherries, lifted mineral notes of graphite, and wild forest herbs. The palate is expansive, with ripe tannins, a clean, fresh spine of acidity, and beautiful lift on the saline finish. It’s going age well over the next 15 years.

Darkly floral, the 2022 Pinot Noir Temperance Hill entices with a blend of cinnamon-dusted black cherries, rich brown spices and hints of blood orange. It floods the palate with juicy wild berries and sour citrus, all guided by brisk acidity as tactile mineral tones add grip toward the close. This finishes dramatically long and staining, only gently tannic yet full of tension. Tart blackberry tones pucker the cheeks, calling the taster back to the glass for more. Fantastic. The Temperance Hill is fabulous today but also geared for the cellar.
