Tasting notes
The 2023 Chardonnay Three Jacks Vineyard is a classic Russian River Chardonnay presented in a measured, neatly balanced package. Baked apple tart, lemon peel, white flowers and a kiss of sweet French oak embrace the palate with gentle creaminess. A bump of weight in the mid-palate leads to a notably smooth, polished finish.

From vines planted in 1995, the 2023 Chardonnay Three Jacks Vineyard was barrel-fermented and matured for 15 months in 28% new French oak. It has pure, intense aromas of yellow peach, lemon, honey, chamomile and chaparral. The medium-bodied palate has a silky, mouth-coating texture and creamy, citrusy flavors. It’s balanced by vibrant, gently tangy acidity, and it has a long, fragrant finish. 160 cases were made.
The medium golden yellow 2023 Chardonnay from Three Jacks Vineyard is sourced from alluvial soils in a parcel long supplied by the Dutton family. On the nose, it opens with pronounced mineral aromas of crushed stone, pithy lime, white peach, and melon. The palate is full and rounded, with a deeper, layered texture and a refreshing backbone of ripe, well-integrated acidity. Drink 2025-2032.
