Score 91/100 · Drink 2022-2030, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Dec 2022

Diel's 2019 Pinot Noir Réserve is deep, fresh and pure as well as intense and concentrated on the nose that displays dark fruit and finely toasty aromas with a delicate oxidative shimmer. This wine is already talking on the nose and comes onto the palate with ripe and intense fruit and a silky texture. It is very charming and open enough to be enjoyed today. Aged in barriques for 18 months and bottled unfiltered about a month to six weeks later. 13% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in August 2022.

Tasting blind, you could so easily mistake this for a Beaune 1er Cru! Very attractive combination of ripe-cherry, rooty and savory character. Medium-bodied with fine tannins that build nicely at the finish. Lively acidity and delicate minerality. The second vintage of this wine. Drink or hold.
