Tasting notes
Very pale ruby. Sweetness of wild strawberry. Then more savoury, dry and spicy on the palate, a darker fruit character and a firmer but still fine-boned structure. Really savoury on the finish with the oak giving a light charry aftertaste. Long. (JH)

Similar in style, the 2013 Pinot Noir Knox Alexander has lots of sour cherry, forest floor, spice and underbrush notes in its Burgundian, supple, silky and polished personality. Its fine tannin, no hard edges and great finish all suggest it will evolve for a decade.
The 2013 Pinot Noir Knox Alexander is bright, focused and beautifully delineated. A wine of precision and focus, the 2013 exudes energy from start to finish. The Knox Alexander emerges from Bien Nacido's north-facing, hillside Block 11. A touch of whole clusters adds aromatic nuance, while the oak, mostly new, is deftly balanced. The 2013 is striking. It's as simple as that.
