Score 90/100 · Drink 2026-2034, Neal Martin, Mar 2025

The 2023 Régnié comes from 50-year-old vines on deep granite soils. It aged half in tanks and half in barrels for eight months. This is nicely focused on the nose, with touches of mint infusing the dark plummy fruit tones. The palate is medium-bodied with hints of sapid red berry fruit, pain d'épices and gentle grip on the Morgon-like finish. It's just a little confit -like in style. I feel that the 2023 has something up its sleeve, so don't be afraid to grant this bottle age.
