The maiden 2023 Echézeaux Grand Cru comes from the lieu-dit of Les Pouilliards, which is in the middle of the vines owned by DRC. This has quite a strong reduction on the nose that makes it difficult to read. The palate is medium-bodied with silky tannins, a little more depth than the Les Suchots and a patina of new oak that needs to be absorbed with time. This will require a couple of years in bottle.
