Curious note slightly reminiscent of kippers … and perhaps a little mousy? Firm, drying tannins, though their texture is quite fine and the length of black fruit and stony minerality is there. (TJ)

The 2018 Nuits Saint-Georges Village is matured in 30% new oak. It has a tightly knit bouquet of red cherries and cranberry fruit, plus just a slight tinniness in the background. The medium-bodied palate features black cherry and blueberry fruit. Citrus-fresh, with a rather compact finish that feels a little pinched at the moment.
