Tasting notes
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon features slightly lifted, floral notes and bold cherries. A blend of blocks B and D, it's full-bodied and concentrated, falling between them texturally—something less than syrupy-creamy but more than simply velvety—with a lingering, complex finish that seamlessly blends flowers and fruit.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Estate is cut from the same cloth, with extraordinary aromatics, full-bodied richness, dazzling purity, and ripe, polished tannins. A wine that has everything, with ripe red and black fruits, some bloody, iron, floral, and savory nuances, and a stacked mid-palate, it's a "wow" wine that will benefit from just a few years in the cellar and cruise for over two decades.
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Vangone Vineyard offers a more savory, mineral-laced profile as well as notes of darker fruits, olive, and iron. Medium to full-bodied, structured, and balanced, it’s another outstanding wine from this team. Drink bottles over the coming 10-15 years.
Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon VanGone Vineyard (made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon) comes barreling out of the glass with expressive scents of baked black cherries, mulberries and crème de cassis, plus nuances of mocha, licorice and charcoal. Medium to full-bodied in the mouth, it coats the mouth with bags of earth-laced black fruits, framed by firm, grainy tannins and just enough freshness, finishing on a mineral note. (Tasted as a barrel sample.)
