Tasting notes
The 1991 Chambolle-Musigny-Les Amoureuses is a wonderfully rich, medium to full-bodied wine with superb extraction of flavor, and plenty of ripe, rich, black-cherry fruit intertwined with lavish amounts of toasty, vanillin new oak. It is soft and succulent, with gobs of fruit and a wonderfully layered, voluptuous texture. Drink it over the next 7-8 years. How great it is to see Groffier come through with such high quality wines in 1991. A Peter Vezan Selection, various importers, including Ideal Wines & Spirits, Medford, MA and Barrique Wine Co., Chicago, IL.
