The 2015 Nuits Saint-Georges Clos des Argillières 1er Cru certainly sports one of the better aromatics from the flight of wines from Prémeaux, offering detailed black and red fruit, pressed flowers (iris) and subtle mineral scents. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, beautifully integrated new oak, impressive depth and genuine finesse and complexity on the finish. Wonderful. Tasted blind at the annual Burgfest tasting.

Deeper and richer than the rest of Argillières. Very flattering and deep-flavoured, beautiful balance. Lift and freshness. Subtlety. (JR)
