Tasting notes
(made from 90% syrah and 10% viognier): Opaque ruby. Dark berry liqueur, potpourri and spicecake on the highly fragrant nose. Bright and nervy on entry, then fleshier in the mid-palate, offering juicy blackberry and bitter cherry flavors and a hint of candied flowers. Shows a silky quality on the persistent finish, which features gentle tannins that add shape and grip.

(includes 10% viognier): Glass-staining ruby. Powerful aromas and flavors of blueberry, blackberry, violet and candied licorice. In a distinctly nervy, energetic style, with no excess weight. Pretty alluring right now but slow-building tannins suggest that this wine will reward patience. The finish repeats the licorice and floral notes and hangs on tenaciously.
