The 2013 Corton La Vigne au Saint is a relatively soft, supple wine for the year. Sweet rose petal, mint, berries, wild flowers and cherries are all given an extra touch of finesse from the silky tannins. Here it is the wine's delicacy that stands out.

Dark ruby. For the moment a little modest on the nose. Cool with a hint of oak. Restrained for the moment, shall we say. (JR)

The 2013 Corton Vigne Au Saint Grand Cru, of which there is just a one and a half barrels, has quite an oaky nose that David Croix said was coming from the new feuillette. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, a fine line of acidity and a pastille-like purity toward the finish that just needs to muster a little more complexity by the time of bottling.
