Tasting notes
The 2017 Vosne-Romanée Aux Champs Perdrix comes from a tiny parcel and contains 100% whole bunch fruit. It will only be bottled in magnums. This is one cuvée where the wood is too vocal on the nose and tends to occlude the fruit – and this despite there being no new oak! The palate is rounded and generous on the entry, offering black cherries and raspberry fruit, and quite caressing in style, though not overly complex. That said, the stem addition is very well assimilated and the finish demonstrates more nuance than the aromatics at the moment.
