Tasting notes
(raised in a combination of new and used large and small oak barrels) Bright purple. Blackberry and blueberry scents are complicated by peppery spice and floral notes. Densely packed but energetic dark berry preserve flavors show hints of salty olive and candied violet and pick up a spicecake nuance with air. Shows very good concentration and seamless texture. Finishes with subtle mineral cut, sneaky tannins and strong persistence.

The estate’s two Cornas releases include the 2014 Cornas Lieu Dit Les Eygats, which comes from a terrific site located in the northern part of the appellation. Olives, pepper, bouquet garni and lots of red and black fruits emerge from this medium-bodied, ripe, beautifully refined Cornas that’s already hard to resist.
