Tasting notes
Always made from the last fruit picked by the estate, the jeweled red colored 2022 Pinot Noir Bednarik Vineyard is lifted with a beautiful floral and expressive perfume with a Burgundian aesthetic. Its notes of wildflowers, raspberries, crushed stones, and pretty orange peel are followed by a medium-bodied, linear red with ultra-fine, polished tannins, and a delicate, very nuanced note of sanguine iron earth on the palate that is well-woven into the fabric. It is going to flesh out with time, but this is just a gorgeous wine already. Drink 2025-2040.

The 2022 Pinot Noir Bednarik Vineyard has pure, detailed scents of raspberry, strawberry, mixed tea leaves, tobacco and aniseed, continuing to gain in expression and intensity as it opens in the glass. The medium-bodied palate combines complex flavors, softly chalky tannins and fireworks of fresh acidity, and it has a very long, nuanced finish.
The 2022 Pinot Noir Bednarik Vineyard opens with a perfumed bouquet as sweet violets and lavender contrast with crushed wild berries and hints of cedary spice. It washes across the palate, silky-smooth and pliant, with mineral-laced red berry fruits that add tactile tension toward the close. Echoes of tart blackberry mixed with sweet herbs and balsamic spice as the 2022 finishes dramatically long yet only gently tannic.
