Tasting notes
The 2023 Chardonnay One-Sixteen is a blend from several sites in the Russian River Valley. It opens with toasty, slightly reductive notes that lead the way into a very smooth, creamy mouthfeel. Subtle and understated in its white stone fruit aromas and flavors, the 2023 is built on supple texture more than overt expression, with gentle, flowing acids moving things nicely from start to finish.

The 2023 Chardonnay One Sixteen is blended from several sites, including Cerise, Ritchie, El Diablo and Bootlegger’s Hill. Fermented in barrel and matured for 12 months in 34% new French oak, it has open-knit aromas of peach, nectarine, beeswax and matchstick. The medium-bodied palate features layered, flint-laced flavors and well-integrated new oak spice. It’s balanced by bright, mouthwatering acidity and has a long, spicy finish.
