Tasting notes
The 2021 The Classic is intense, opening in the glass with a burst of savory herbs, blood orange, blackberries, crushed rocks and dusty dried violets. It's soft-textured and round, with graphite-tinged wild berry fruits and mineral tones that flow across a stream of racy acidity. Hints of salted licorice and dark chocolate linger on as the 2021 finishes long yet just gently tannic, leaving a pleasantly bitter resonance. The Classic is a blend of 50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc and 15% Petit Verdot.

Deep plum-hued, the 2021 The Classic (50% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Cabernet Franc, and 15% Petit Verdot) offers up a classic Rocks nose of bloody blue fruits, roasted herbs, tapenade, tobacco, and iron, with a Graves-like smoky, scorched earth character emerging with time in the glass. Richly textured, full-bodied, and beautifully balanced, with fine tannins and a great mid-palate, this brilliant red will evolve gracefully over the coming 15-20 years. It's certainly for those who love the wild side of the Rocks!
