Good bright medium red. Complex aromas of raspberry, mocha, sassafras and earth. Rich, sweet and intensely flavored, with a refreshing juicy quality and excellent delineation. A sappy cranberry note gives vibrancy to this lush pinot. The firmly tannic finish features excellent length and grip.

Score 89/100 · Drink 2005-2012, Robert Parker, Dec 2005

The 2004 Pinot Noir Clos Pepe Vineyard exhibits a light ruby color as well as a sweet bing cherry, pomegranate, and plum-scented bouquet, and an elegant, medium-bodied, fruit-forward personality. While some tannins are noticeable, they are well-concealed by the wine’s fruit. This 2004 should drink well for 5-7 years. Tel. (707) 578-3882; Fax (707) 578-3884
