Tasting notes
Even better, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Tomahawk Vineyard is brilliant all the way, sporting a saturated purple/plum color, a huge nose of blackberries, currants, scorched earth, graphite, and cedarwood, full-bodied richness, great intensity, and a deep, dense, concentrated style. It needs 7-8 years of cellaring but is a classic, structured Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon that's going to have 2+ decades of longevity. Bravo.

The 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Tomahawk Vineyard is one of the most distinctive wines in the range. Inky dark red/purplish fruit, leather, smoke, licorice, tobacco and menthol give the wine much of its personality. This is an especially plush, resonant wine with tons of Stags Leap character and plenty of style. Brighter notes develop in the glass, adding energy and lift.
Displaying a deep purple-black color, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Tomahawk offers up aromas of black cherries, cassis and plums with hints of earth, cedar and tobacco. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is very firm, tight, coiled and muscular. This is still very youthful and really needs 3-4 years in bottle to show its stuff.
