Aromas of red fruit, toast, coffee and mint. Perfectly ripe black cherry and cassis, plus cedary oak and a hint of anise. Medium-full, measured and balanced. Lacks the flamboyance of many of its peers, yet will outlast many of them. (LM)

Red-ruby. Plum, smoke, tobacco, earth and menthol on the nose, with a lightly vegetal aspect. Then moderately dense and tightly wound, with a distinctly herbal quality to the red fruit and tobacco flavors. Offers good palate coverage on the back, but the wine's slightly edgy acids and building tannins call for a few years of patience.
