The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Steltzner Vineyard is another terrific wine in this range. Inky dark fruit, chocolate, licorice, spice, menthol and lavender infuse the 2018 with tons of complexity and layers of flavor that continue to open in the glass. This Stags Leap Cabernet - from one of the top sites in the appellation - delivers the goods, and then some. Wow!

Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Steltzner Vineyard (located in Stags Leap District) is made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. It bursts from the glass with bold, expressive notes of warm cassis, kirsch, wild blueberries and chocolate mint, plus hints of incense, cedar chest and unsmoked cigars. The medium to full-bodied palate is packed with spicy black and blue fruit preserves, textured by velvety tannins, finishing long and fragrant.

All Martini Clone (which could be anything), the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Steltzner Vineyard reveals a deep, saturated purple color as well as full-bodied aromas and flavors of chocolate, black and blue fruits, tobacco leaf, and graphite. With a gorgeous mid-palate, ripe, polished tannins, flawless balance, and a great finish, it's going to benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age and cruise for 20 years in cold cellars.
