A slightly sweet, very fragrant and flowery 2013 Muscat of Alexandria from the Jackass Hill Vineyard was made. This is a delightful, fruit-driven wine with plenty of tropical fruit and marmalade notes to drink by itself at the end of a meal. It should keep well for 2-4 years.

Martinelli's 2013 Muscat Alexandria Jackass Hill is an attractive sweet wine made from vines that were planted 125 years ago. Classic floral and orchard fruit muscat notes abound in this delicate, feminine dessert wine. I would prefer to drink the 2013 over the next year or two, while the flavors remain fresh. Hints of apricot jam and exotic flowers add the final shades of nuance.

Martinelli

Martinelli is a Sonoma benchmark for vineyard-designate bottlings—wines built to highlight how strongly a single site can shape Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Syrah, and Zinfandel. Across the range, the focus stays consistent: small-production bottlings that feel distinctly tied to where they’re grown.
