Limpid ruby. Ripe red and blue fruit, cola and baking spice aromas show outstanding clarity, and floral and mineral accents build in the glass. Stains the palate with concentrated black raspberry, bitter cherry, boysenberry, candied lavender and spicecake flavors that show unlikely energy for their depth. Closes with outstanding, spice- and floral-driven tenacity, gently gripping tannins and an echo of minerality. I really like the mix of power and finesse here. One-third whole clusters and 20% new oak.
