The 1999 Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve Knight's Valley (500 cases), is serious and deep, with ripe fruit and additional body as well as flavor intensity. Beringer was the first to exploit the potential of the Knight's Valley for Cabernet Sauvignon, which has now become one of California's most fashionable winemaking regions. (Release date 1/03) Tel. Deep ruby-red. Riper and warmer on the nose, with a faint suggestion of berry syrup. Sweeter, fuller and thicker in the mouth, but nicely shaped by an underlying mineral character. Has more tannins than the regular Knights Valley cabernet but the tannins are chewy and ripe.
