(this year's blend was made from a barrel each of whole-cluster-fermented Kanzler, Amber Ridge, Koplen and Garys' Vineyards) Deep, bright red. Deep dark berry and cherry compote aromas, with complementary notes of incense, anise and smoky minerality. Juicy on entry, then turns firmer in the middle palate, offering potent cherry and berry skin flavors and a velour-like texture. The youngest-acting of this set today, with strong finishing grip and lingering sweetness.
