Score 93+/100 · Drink 2018-2025, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Feb 2016
One of the most complete wines in the range, the 2013 Pinot Noir Estate Block 8 possesses gorgeous depth and overall structure. Sweet red cherry, plum, mint, rose petal and spice notes are all pushed forward. After an initial blast of intensity, the Block 8 shuts down quickly in the glass, which is probably a good thing for its potential longevity. Readers will have to be patient, as the Block 8 needs at least a few years in bottle. The wait should be worth it; there is plenty to like.
