(from domain and purchased grapes): Pale greenish-yellow. Sexy aromas of lemon, lime, crushed herbs and powdered stone. Riper than the 2014 Petit Chablis, with more length.

The 2014 Chablis Champs Royaux has a more backward and reticent nose compared to the Petit Chablis, granite aromas reluctantly emerging with aeration. The palate is well balanced, the 5% raised in used oak filling out the second half with orange zest and citrus notes. Linear but with a sense of energy on the finish, this is a fine Champs Royaux that should drink well over 5 or 6 years.
