Mid ruby. Not much nose. Sweetness and stasis. Not much development yet. A bit big and like wines made in 2003 in Europe with dry, dusty tannins on the finish. Will this become less ungainly? (JR)

Deep red. Rich and smoky on the nose, with powerful aromas of cherry and chocolate, along with a hint of espresso. Big, rich and round, with a ripe cherry flavor. Quite dense, and displaying more power today than the Louise. Finishes solid but with a velvety, smooth texture.
