Bright red-ruby. Aromas of rose petal, smoked meat and minerals. Suave on entry, then juicy and vibrant in the middle, with blackberry and cola flavors conveying an impression of energy. Finishes with firm, broad tannins and solid structure. This turned more chocolatey with extended aeration, but retained its flesh and sweetness.

Dee p ruby-red. Aromas of black cherry, cocoa powder, coffee and licorice. Superripe, highly concentrated and distinctly glyceral, with a musky note of espresso. Very deep fruit flavors are rich but classically dry. Finishes with substantial tannins. This just finished its malolactic fermentation and has a very healthy 3.4 pH, with 3.6 grams of acidity.
