Score 88/100 · Drink 2019-2028, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Jan 2019
The deep garnet-purple colored 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Mount Veeder is blended of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Merlot. It opens a little rubbery, over a core of warm cassis, blackberries, tar, chargrill, fried herbs and crushed rocks. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is just a tad lean with a chewy texture and earthy finish.

Score 96/100 · Drink 2022-2036, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2018
A powerful, dense wine, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Amentet Vineyard oozes Veeder character. Graphite, scorched earth, lavender, plum, blood orange and crème de cassis are all finely rendered in this superb, intensely mineral Cabernet Sauvignon. Powerful and yet refined, with tremendous energy, the 2016 is a winner from Robert Craig.
