Tasting notes
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Family Estate Reserve is 91% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest equal parts Merlot and Malbec. This is superbly etched wine with an inky/purple color, moderately intense aromatics of blueberry and blackberry liqueur interwoven with spring flowers. The wine is deep, sumptuous, rich and long. It is a beauty and another great example of high-quality winemaking at a realistic price. Drink it over the next 20 years.

The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Family Estate Reserve offers notable depth and intensity, but in a relatively mid-weight style for the year. Inky blue and purplish fruit, sweet spices, French oak and licorice are all front and center. Sweet, unctuous and generous, the 2014 will drink well with minimal cellaring, although another year or two should help the tannins soften. This is a strong showing.
