Score 90/100 · Drink 2015-2025, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Dec 2015

The inky purple-colored 2013 Côte Rôtie Champon's (aged in 30% new French oak) offers classic 2013 characteristics in its fresh, crisp notes of graphite, ground pepper, violets and underbrush. Medium-bodied, pretty, focused and with fine tannin, it lacks some back-end oomph, but opens up nicely with air, has solid purity of fruit, and plenty of elegance and character. Drink it anytime over the coming decade.
