On the palate, it's medium to full-bodied, lively and supple, revealing a fragrant core of fruit and powdery structuring tannins.

The 2018 Chambolle-Musigny Villages comes from seven different parcels, including two Premier Crus, Les Gruenchers and Les Baudes. It has an attractive, floral bouquet of pressed rose petals infusing the red berry fruit, quite mineral-driven and impressively precise. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannins, the 40% whole-bunch fruit nicely integrated. A very pretty Chambolle-Musigny with a refined finish. Excellent.

About the producer
Based south of Nuits-Saint-Georges in Prémeaux-Prissey, Domaine de la Vougeraie was created in 1999, grouping all of Jean-Claude Boisset’s holdings under one name. The property has a total 40 hectares of vines, with extensive holdings in Vougeot as well as plots in six Grands Crus.
