Bright, dark red. Musky redcurrant, mocha, minerals, underbrush and oak on the nose. Round, concentrated and sweet, with a seamless texture to the red fruit and mineral flavors. Finishes sweet, sexy and long but with a reserve that augurs well for its life in bottle.

Full ruby-red, but not as dark as the Ultra or the Clos Vougeot. Sauvage aromas of black raspberry, mulch and roasted meat, with hints of pepper and nutty oak. Silky-sweet, complex and utterly seamless, with lush flavors of black raspberry, minerals and game. Finishes with supersweet tannins and lovely building persistence. Very classy grand cru.
