Deep red-ruby. Aromas of blackberry liqueur, bitter chocolate and violet. Sweet and fine-grained, with good energy to the dark fruit, licorice and chocolate flavors. Nicely rising finish features ripe acids and tannins.

(this has a relatively low 3.3 pH): Dark red. Slightly rustic aromas of blackberry, pepper, smoked meat, fresh blood and leather, lifted by spices. Juicy and bright, with good mineral cut and a licorice element adding interest to the dark fruit and meat flavors. Finishes with a tart edge and slightly drying tannins.
