Tasting notes
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Heritage Selection is packed with black fruit, grilled herbs, spice, licorice and chocolate. Dark and imposing in its intensity, the Heritage Selection is a potent, decidedly brooding wine.

Lots of red, blue, and black fruits as well as violets, Asian spices, iron, and chocolate notes, emerge from the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Heritage Selection, a beautifully, pure, medium to full-bodied Yountville Cabernet Sauvignon with fine tannins, terrific balance, and a great finish. I love its balance, as well as its complexity. This comes from a mix of old clones and vines planted in 1994 and 1995.
The 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Heritage Selection emerges from parcels at the back of the property. Bright and effusive in its aromatics, the 2021 offers up gorgeous floral notes to play off its red-toned fruit. Harvest was on October 2, quite late. The 2021 is a wine built on linear intensity more than the opulence of years' past. This is one of the most elegant wines I have tasted here. All it needs is time to come together.
