2018 Domaine Ramonet Chassagne-Montrachet Clos de la Boudriotte Rouge 1er Cru

Ramonet's 2018 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Boudriotte Rouge has turned out beautifully; indeed, I'd go so far as to say that this numbers among the very finest recent renditions of this cuvée. Unfurling in the glass with aromas of plums, raspberries and wild berries mingled with peonies, orange rind and potpourri, it's medium to full-bodied, velvety and enveloping, its concentrated core of fruit underpinned by lively acids and powdery, youthfully chewy tannins.
