Tasting notes
The 2020 Vosne-Romanée Quatrain offers up aromas of plums, wild berries, sweet spices, peonies and soil tones, followed by a medium to full-bodied, velvety and layered palate that's bright and perfumed. It represents Mugneret's usual blend of lieux-dits Ormes, Chalandins, Réas, Jaquines and Croix Blanches.

Four parcels of vines from the north and south of the village, Les Ormes, Les Challandins, Aux Réas and Les Jacquines. Cask sample . Despite the opulent raspberries and rich fruit, the texture is attractively restrained and dry. Showing an ordered middle road of very savoury goodness. (MH)
The 2020 Vosne-Romanée "Quatrain" had just a little reduction on the nose, though there is clearly plenty of fruit here. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded tannins, a mixture of red and black fruit, maybe just a little "clipped" on the finish but it should flesh out with time.
