Score 88/100 · Drink 2006-2016, Robert Parker, Dec 2006

The 2001 Cabernet Sauvignon is the tightest of this quartet as well as the most structured. It appears to be in a middle-aged state that is no longer primary, but the secondary aromas have not yet emerged. Its deep ruby/purple color is accompanied by hints of new saddle leather, cassis, and spice. Medium to full-bodied, but not as impressive as its siblings, it should be consumed over the next decade.
