Tasting notes
The 2011 Cabernet Sauvignon is soft, forward and quite pretty. Dark red cherries, cedar, tobacco and licorice open up nicely in the glass. This forward, impeccably balanced Cabernet Sauvignon is an excellent choice for drinking over the next handful of years. The juicy, expressive finish is particularly appealing.

(14.8% alcohol): Bright medium ruby. Much fresher on the nose than the 2011 37.2 red blend, offering aromas of black cherry, leather, flowers, cedary oak and pepper. At once sweet and savory, boasting very good tangy intensity to the flavors of bitter cherry, chocolatey oak and black pepper. Finishes with serious, broad tannins and a building oakiness that makes me want to drink this wine on the early side. (My sample of the 2011 37.2 Red Wine Napa Valley seemed a bit tired and dry, and showed both roasted and weedy elements.)
