The 1989 Cabernet Sauvignon Signature (100% Cabernet Sauvignon) is medium brick in color and gives up an earthy/meaty nose of truffles, tilled soil, smoked meats and beef drippings over a core of warm red currants and kirsch with a hint of mocha. Medium-bodied, it gives a good concentration of ripe red and black fruit flavors with a firm, chewy frame and a lively backbone, finishing long and minerally.
