Score 91/100 · Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, May 2018
Composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 1988 Cabernet Sauvignon is pale to medium brick in color and has quite a meaty nose of prosciutto, chargrill and dusty soil with a core of baked blackberries and crème de cassis plus a touch of menthol. Medium-bodied, firm and taut, it gives a chewy frame and is a little lean and green with plenty of freshness, finishing a little grippy and on a lingering minty note.
