Score 90/100 · Drink 2016-2031, Robert Parker, Dec 2015
The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Melanson Vineyard, from a site on Pritchard Hill, shows loads of black raspberry and blueberry fruit, a deep ruby/purple color, a touch of minerality, medium to full body, but is fruit-dominated, lush, seductive and round. It should drink well for at least 15 or so years.

A dark, voluptuous wine, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Melanson Vineyard impresses for its texture, depth and overall balance. Dark red stone fruits, spices, new leather and menthol meld together in a seamless wine. There is plenty of supporting structure, but the tannins are nearly buried, as the fruit is so radiant and expressive. This is a gorgeous wine from Castello di Amorosa.
