Score 91/100 · Jeb Dunnuck, Dec 2017

A blend of close to equal parts Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2014 Red Blend is cut from the same cloth, yet offers a touch more depth and richness on the palate. Blueberries, bay leaf, violets and sappy herbs all emerge from this full-bodied, rounded, pleasurable beauty. It will be interesting to follow these two cuvees over the coming 15 years or so, but my vote goes to the 2014 as the better wine.

Score 93/100 · Drink 2017-2035, Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW, Wine Advocate, Oct 2017

Composed of 53% Merlot and 47% Cabernet Sauvignon, the 2014 Red Blend displays a deep garnet-purple color with slowly evolving red and black currants, mulberries and underbrush notes with hints of new leather, charcuterie and exotic spices plus a waft of potpourri. Medium to full-bodied, with a firm backbone of lively acid and firm, chewy tannins, it finishes long and earthy/savory.
